My daughter was very happy when she first got the 24-inch LCD HDTV, but a week after the tv malfuntioned. I call the amazon company and they said that I have to reported to the company that make it, and so I did. Well. . . . They said I have to way to because they do not have any, and that I have to wait, and they said that they do not know until when. It’s being approximately a month, and I have not hear from them. That’s my review.

Good for TV, Okay for pc monitor, with some problems.
1. On/Off button isn’t actually a button, only works 10% of the time. Must operate on static contact of some kind. Must use the remote to turn it on or off, not a problem for a TV. but not good as a monitor.
2. when used as a computer monitor it has problems: when in power saving mode it comes on every 7 seconds, stays on for 6. 5 seconds, and displays DVI in upper left corner.
for this problem, I called customer service. They were not able to isolate why so far, but say they are working on it.
But, what I found out is: there is a INPUT adjustment on Menu, for source, which is also on the remote: what is listed is: PC, DVI, TV, Component, HDMI 1, AND HDMI 2.
HOWEVER, all of these are grey except TV and DVI. the rest CANNOT be selected.
This is what they are trying to figure out.
or so they say.
I am ONLY using these a a monitor, nothing is connected but the DVI cable that they supply, clearly only useful for a PC video card, and the power cord.
They offered to ship new ones to replace both of mine, since both have the same problem.
I declined since it’s doubtful that a the new ones will be any different.
(I have 3 of them, one in the bedroom used only as a TV, which also limits which Sources are available).
TV reception is excellent. It gets a lot more channels than my older VCR/DVD combo deck.

This product, shipped from JR Music World, died after three days of use. We are still trying to get a replacment from Samsung. It took 4 faxes of my invoice to establish proof of purchase. Unless you give Samsung the exact time your fax was sent, they can’t find it.
The replacement unit was UPS’d to the wrong location. A month has passed, and we have yet to see a working TV.

I think Samsung, in their hurry to bring the product to market, is shipping the T240HD without features that they have advertised.
1. The remote they have pictured in the online manual they have posted on their website is not the same as the remote I got. My remote has a button for SRS. The online manual remote does not.
2. Samsung and its retailers advertise that the monitor has SRS Surround XT built in. But when you press the SRS button on the remote, the monitor comes back with “Not available”.
Has any one of you gotten the SRS to work?
I think this is a case of “early adopters beware”. At best, Samsung may have made a mistake in advertising. At worst it is false and misleading.
SRS may not be a deal killer in your situation, But if it is missing, what else is not up to the specs advertised?
I would love to hear from others about this.
