CES – 40 years of Consumer Electronics Trends

Over the last 40 years the first week of January is one of the most important weeks, if not the most important consumer electronics manufacturers and the reason for this is because it is when the most prestigious Consumer Electronics trade fair on.
Held in the city of Las Vegas Nevada, Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a significant technology-related trade show. Sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association, CES is a trade-only shows are not open to the public, and that’s where manufacturers announce, introduce and preview future products
A little history:.
The first CES show held in New York in 1967. From years 1978 to 1994 CES used to be held twice yearly, once in summer in Chicago and once in winter held in Las Vegas. However, SCE has begun to lose popularity, and in the summer of 1995, organizers decided to put the show on the road, pull error led to the cancellation of the summer show and once a year format was adopted.
entire year’s Consumer Electronics Show has been the main phase of remarkable product introductions, it would be almost impossible to list all products and technologies introduced at CES over the years, so here is a collection of the most notable them in chronological order :
1970: Was the year when the video cassette recorder (VCR) was introduced
1974:. was marked by the introduction of the Laser Disc player
1981:. Two notable introductions this year Compact Disc (CD) and video camera
1985: .. first remarkable revolution in the gaming industry with the introduction of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)
1996: Year when DVD was introduced
1998:. HDTV was introduced
2001:. Microsoft introduced its Xbox game console
2008:. Panasonic stole all the attention by releasing a 150-inch plasma TV as thin as 0.46 inches
2009:. Highlights for the impressive number of exhibiting companies, 2700 and the introduction of 3-D Home Entertainment
